After working together on Channel 10’s The Living Room for over a decade, Amanda Keller has revealed that she will be reuniting with her former co-star Chris Brown in his brand new show Once in a Lifetime. The animal adventure series was first announced at Channel Seven’s Upfront event last year as one of Chris’ three projects on the network alongside Dream Home and Dancing With The Stars.

Once in a Lifetime will follow Chris as he is “pushed to his limits in the pursuit of the ultimate animal encounter” with various Australian celebrities acting as his veterinary assistants.

“This is a journey into the unknown as these unlikely duos take on the challenge of helping the world’s most iconic animals – all while hopefully not putting themselves on the menu,” the network shared in a statement.

Speaking on her WSFM breakfast show Jonesy & Amanda on Tuesday morning, Amanda confirmed that she will be flying to Africa this Friday to film an episode with Chris.

“I’ve got some news. I’m going to be going on a filming assignment,” she shared on-air. “It’s a show called Once in a Lifetime and Chris Brown is hosting this.

“This is a show I know that he's wanted to do for years. I do know which country I'm going to, but I'm not allowed to say. It's in Africa… But that’s all I know.”

Amanda also joked that she had already told the show’s producers she wouldn’t be wearing a swimming costume during filming and she doesn’t show her arms or legs on camera.

“So if it’s just fully clothed torso work, I’m going to be okay,” she remarked, adding that the show has come along at a “great time” in her career.

“It’s like I’ve written the précis for this show myself, in that I don’t have to drive the narrative, it’s Chris’ show, he and I are hanging out and I’m going to be having experiences.

“My nature is to over-research things, and there’s nothing I can do. I can’t do that. So it’s a TV show where I can go into it floating, I can get on a plane and not have to be anxious about having to prepare something. It’s a real gift for me, so I’m excited.”

The announcement comes just a few days after it was revealed that Amanda will front a new five-part parenting series on ABC titled The Role Of A Lifetime. The series, which is set to air in 2025, is designed to provide practical tips and tools for parents and caregivers and will also feature Kate Ritchie, Nazeem Hussain and Maggie Dent.

The show’s synopsis says: “Kate Ritchie and Nazeem Hussain will be brought together to act out real life parenting scenarios, propelling them into immersive and unexpected factual explorations to guide us in raising resilient, happy children. Parenting author, educator and podcaster, Maggie Dent will provide insightful parental guidance throughout.”
