Casey has starred in a number of stage productions since her reality TV debut in 2006, including The Sapphires, We Will Rock You and Chicago alongside Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

Speaking with The Morning Show hosts about joining the cast of 9 to 5, she explained that she felt like she could partly relate to the story of three working women dealing with a sexist boss.

“Just growing up in the industry and working your way through being a teenager and a young lady, you certainly come up against your battles,” she said.

“And you’ve got to keep going and that’s testament to this show is three women that feel empowered to get moving and get out of bed and get it done.”
