Toni Pearen reveals ‘post-traumatic stress’ from I’m A Celebrity
Toni Pearen quickly became a fan favourite on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, establishing herself as the ‘Jungle Mum’ to her fellow contestants and making it all the way to the top four.
However, the former E Street star has now revealed that she is haunted by her experience on the Channel 10 reality show.
“I still have a bit of post-traumatic stress from I’m A Celebrity… whenever I see footage,” she admitted in an interview with Saturday Confidential.
“It was a once in a lifetime experience, but I would never do anything like that again, never again.”

Toni endured a number of difficult tasks while on I’m A Celebrity, including a challenge where she was bitten on the face by multiple snakes.
Alongside celebrity chef Colin Fassnidge and retired footballer Robert DiPierdomenico, she ended up winning the highest percentage of stars for her camp.
Despite the trauma, Toni is thankful for her time on the reality show as she believes it helped her land her dream TV gig.
The 49-year-old was the host of Sunday night’s Young Talent Time Unmasked, which she labels as “a childhood dream come true”.
“As a child, all I dreamed about was being a part of Young Talent Time and who would have thought 50 years on, I would have received this call out of the blue to host YTT Unmasked?” she said.
“Maybe if I hadn’t had done I’m a Celebrity, I wouldn’t be hosting the anniversary… So it feels like every single career decision I have made has led to this moment.”
Toni isn’t the only star from this year’s season of I’m A Celebrity to land a TV hosting gig following the show, with her former campmate and ‘Jungle Daughter’ Abbie Chatfield recently being announced as the host of Channel Nine’s Love Island Afterparty.
“I'm looking forward to offering a different perspective than I guess other potential hosts could have,” the Bachelor alum explained alongside her announcement.
“I may have a bit more empathy for people that are maybe not as liked by the public, but I can also have some insight into how these things tend to work.”
