Brittany Hockley celebrates New Year’s Eve with Rebel Wilson: ‘So much love’
They became fast friends in 2021, attending red carpet events and sporting matches together, and now Brittany Hockley has revealed that she celebrated New Year’s Eve with Rebel Wilson.
The former Bachelor star took to Instagram over the weekend to share a gallery of photos showcasing the pair’s jam-packed day, which included three outfit changes.
“Isn’t it romantic. Sydney does it best,” she captioned a sweet snap of herself and Rebel dressed in matching white ensembles with the iconic Sydney Harbour fireworks behind them.
The pals both wore sparkly metallic outfits earlier in the evening as they posed for poolside photos at a mansion on the harbour.
During the day they relaxed outdoors in beach attire with two male friends and watched the sunset from the dock.

Alongside her gallery, Brittany penned a caption opening up about her hopes for the new year.
“Well what a tumultuous ride that was! I’m sure many are happy to see the back of 2021. But I hope you enter 2022 armed with optimism, open arms and a stack of antigen tests,” she began.
“I welcomed the new year with some beautiful humans and I’m looking forward to a year filled with so much love, hard work, new experiences, health and success. Some improvements to my tennis game wouldn’t go astray either. Standard. I wish the same for all of you.”
Rebel also shared some solo snaps on social media on New Year’s Eve, including one posing in her bronze dress alongside the caption: “Starting the New Year off strong! HAPPY NEW YEAR you legends, love from Down Under!”
Brittany first became friends with the Pitch Perfect star halfway through 2021 thanks to her boyfriend, pro tennis player Jordan Thompson.
“It turns out Rebel is a huge tennis fan, so I met her through a bunch of Jordan’s friends,” Brittany explained on her podcast, Life Uncut, with Laura Byrne.
“It was very organic, she’s very cool, we just sort of clicked and we’ve just been hanging out.”
The reality TV star also said that she believes she ‘manifested’ their relationship after being a fan of Rebel’s work for so long.
“Rebel has always been one of my favourite actresses, and one of my favourite Aussie actors because she’s so smart, she got into acting later in life, she’s a lawyer by trade, I just think she’s funny,” she added.
The pair made their friendship red carpet official at the AACTA awards last month alongside Rebel’s rumoured boyfriend, tennis player Matt Reid.
