Miley Cyrus appeared to have quickly moved on after her shock split from husband of eight months Liam Hemsworth, when she was spotted kissing Kaitlynn Carter during an Italian vacation.

However Miley and Kaitlynn, who is Brody Jenner’s ex, have been accused of faking it to “mess with their two ex-husbands”.

Brandon Thomas Lee, son of Pamela Anderson and rocker Tommy Lee, who is also one of Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn’s co-stars, has revealed his shock when he first saw the photos of Miley and Kaitlyn making out.

“I don’t know, I didn’t want to even get involved with it, but it just seems so fake to me,” the 23-year-old told The Daily Pop.

“It’s just like, why? They’re just obviously messing with their two ex-husbands. And they’re all friends. It just seems so ridiculous to me.”

Feisty exchange on Instagram

Brandon, who co-stars with Brody Jenner on The Hills: New Beginnings, also shared a joke on Instagram about the brewing ‘scandal’.

Brody had commented on a photo of Miley and Kaitlynn, and then posted his own pic with the caption “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today”, to which Brandon replied, “let’s round this scandal out and post a pic of us making out”.

Brody quipped: “Watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon”.

Upon seeing the comments, Miley then replied to Brody, “Go take a nap in your truck and cool off. #HotGirlSummer”.

Devastated Liam speaks out

Liam Hemsworth broke his silence on Tuesday taking to Instagram to share his first public comments, acknowledging the split and asking for privacy.

“Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward,” he captioned an image of a sunset.

”This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets,” he continued.

The actor had been quoted by Daily Mail Australia as reportedly saying, “You don't understand what it's like. I don't want to talk about it mate”.

Liam was spotted out for ice-cream with his brother, Chris Hemsworth, and his nieces and nephew.

Miley full of ‘peace and hope’

A representative for Miley confirmed the couple had “agreed to separate at this time” over the weekend.

“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers,” her rep told People in a statement.

“They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

The pop star then shed some more light on the situation in a post on Monday morning, saying her heart is full of ‘peace and hope’.

New bachelorette pad

The former Hannah Montana star has also moved on - literally - shacking up in a new ‘bachelorette pad’ that’s very close to the family home she once shared with Liam.

Her digs are located just next to the $6.8 million Malibu Hills home she and her ex Liam lived in with their brood of pets.

The couple moved into the property in 2015, and later snapped up the nearby three bedroom ranch where Miley now lives for $2.5 million.

Miley’s new place miraculously survived last November’s deadly wildfires that razed her and Liam’s home to the ground.
