RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17 is FINALLY starting to eliminate queens. After only cutting two queens in the first five weeks of the series, the Badonka Dunk Tank twist is finally over, and that means we're getting real eliminations.
This week, RuPaul was joined by new regular judge Law Roach as well as Euphoria star Hunter Schaffer for the "Let's Get Sea Sickening" Ball, in which the queens were asked to deliver bathing suit and sea creature looks they brought with them along with a look they constructed using ocean debris. With the twists all gone, the bottom two lip synced to "Get Him Back" by Olivia Rodrigo and a third Season 17 queen was eliminated.

It was both a bit surprising and also 100% not surprising at all that the "bubblegum babe" was sent packing this week. After losing in Week 2 and then sticking around thanks to the Badonka Dunk Tank twist, she was starting to pick up a bit of steam. However, her fashion sense is a bit one-note, so the ball was never going to be a place for her to shine. When she was sent to the bottom with Lana Ja'Rae, she lost her second lip sync this season, and there were no aquatic levers to save her.

Arrietty
In one of the most predictable blowouts in Drag Race herstory, Arrietty wiped the floor with her competition this week. After her own near-elimination last week, the fashion queen bounced back this week for an easy win. Season 17 is an absolute wasteland for fashion queens, with Arrietty easily winning all three of the ball categories and walking to this week's win. The pageant girls Crystal Envy and Sam Star were both in the top with serviceable looks, but as with the Monopoly design challenge a few weeks back, there was a lot of ho-hum on the runway.
