For well over a decade, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen were one of the celeb world’s greatest power couples. But since their 2022 divorce, the pair have been carving out their own paths.
From what we can tell, the exes — who share two children, Vivian, 12, and Benjamin, 15 — have remained on fairly good terms. And as far as their professional lives lives go, they’ve each been thriving.
And now, Gisele has marked a major personal milestone, too — welcoming a new baby with her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente!
Gisele and jiu-jitsu coach Joaquim have been together since June 2023, and her pregnancy was first reported in October 2024.
On Wednesday, news broke that Gisele recently gave birth to her and Joaquim’s first child together. TMZ was the first to report the baby news, and a source has since told People that the couple welcomed a baby boy.
Though we don’t know much else, the insider said that the baby’s middle name is River — which seems like a sweet nod to Vivian and Benjamin’s water-themed middle names, Lake and Rein.
Right now, Gisele herself has not confirmed the news. And while it’s unlikely that Tom will address it either, it seems the retired NFL star might be in his feelings a little.
After Gisele’s baby news made headlines, Tom — who is presumed to be single at the moment — took to his Instagram Story to share a cryptic but hopeful message about the “secret to being loved.”
The quote — which is credited to a user called @larissa_raymond — begins: “I really think the secret to being loved is being honest. And the secret to being interesting is to be interested.”“And the secret to having others find beauty in you is to find beauty in others,” it continues. “And the secret to having a friend is being a friend.” Tom captioned the story, “love this,” with three heart emojis.
For what it’s worth, it’s very possible the quote has absolutely nothing to do with Gisele or Tom’s love life — particularly when you consider that he’s no stranger to a sentimental Instagram post every now and again.
Notably, around the time that Gisele’s pregnancy was revealed, Tom posted a similarly cryptic Instagram story featuring the lyrics to Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” — much to fans' amusement.
Well, huge congratulations, Gisele and Joaquim! And no matter how Tom may be feeling, I don’t doubt his Super Bowl commentating duties will keep him occupied over the weekend.
