Isabelle Petzl and Mitchell O'Leary, one of Australia’s most popular TikTok couples, have been forced to move out of their dream new home after just three nights after being targeted in multiple break-ins.

The pair, who boast over 700,000 followers, documented moving their belongings into a new property in Glenelg North Adelaide for fans on July 12 before explaining they’d taken a brief trip to Sydney to attend an influencer event for a clothing launch.

Upon their return to South Australia, the pair were horrified to discover their home had been raided after intruders had forced their way into the property by breaking a window.

In the multiple “moving diary” video blogs Isabelle had posted as they moved in the property, the exterior of the home including the front door number was seen in some shots – making the property easily identifiable to anybody who knows the general area.

As South Australia Police came to investigate the couple noticed only Mitch’s belongings had been taken, including the spare key to his $70,000 Toyota HiLux Rogue – with none of Isabelle’s clothes, jewellery or personal possessions touched.

Fearing they had been targeted by making the mistake of sharing live updates of their current location – meaning any of their followers would know the new property was empty while they were away - the couple staged a plan to tempt the intruders back to catch them in the act.

“We’ve put some fake Stories up [pretending that we’re] away tonight, so hopefully they come [back]. We’re ready,” Mitch explained in a video shared a week later, showing him going to sleep with a hammer in his hand as his girlfriend slept with a knife by the bed.

Despite making the plan in jest, the couple were awoken in the night by the sound of multiple people trying to break into the house once more. The perpetrators quickly fled (before gaining access to the property) once they realised Isabelle and Mitch were inside.

It is unclear if the police have made any arrests. Yahoo Lifestyle has contacted South Australia Police for comment.

The couple has since shared a deflated video moving out of the property, explaining they no longer feel safe there, with Mitch venting: “We haven't even been here for a week and now I don't f***ing own anything in this house. F*** you to whoever did this. I'm not usually mean but I worked hard for this and you all just came and [took it all].”

Isabelle and Mitchell, who have been regarded by their fanbase as one of the 'happiest couples of TikTok', found surprising fame on the platform last year by sharing a video each morning dancing to "Wake Up" by British band The Vamps - a song about seizing the day and being grateful for what you have.
