Adam Brody And Leighton Meester Packed On The PDA At The Critics Choice Awards, And My Millennial Heart Just Can't Get Enough
Adam Brody won big at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards, but he proved his greatest accomplishment was finding love with his wife Leighton Meester.
Despite being a very private couple, the two have no problem publicly supporting each other and showing their appreciation for one another. And that was evident at last night's awards ceremony.
On Friday, Adam took home the Critics Choice for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his portrayal of Noah "Hot Rabbi" Roklov in Nobody Wants This.
The hit Netflix rom-com, which also stars Kristen Bell, follows a young woman who hasn't had the best luck with dating and falls for a rabbi she meets at a friend's house party. The only problem is that rabbis are encouraged to marry a woman in the Jewish faith, but she's not Jewish.
It became an instant favorite with viewers, and fans fell even more in love when they realized it was based on a real-life couple (series creator Erin Foster and her husband Simon Tikhman).
Well, the critics enjoyed it too! When accepting his award, Adam gracefully thanked everyone involved in the project, with a special shout-out to Kristen: "Thank you for your talent. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for your belief in me. This is a Hanukkah present for you."
He also expressed his gratitude to Erin for bringing her story to screen and taking him along for the ride: "Thank you to Erin Foster. Thank you. Thank you for your incredible, unique voice. Thank you for making me a part of your story."
But it was the end of his speech that really made my heart jump out of my chest — his dedication to Leighton. They shared a kiss before he walked on stage to accept his award, but the words to follow made the moment even sweeter.
"And to my darling, darling, darling wife, Leighton. Thank you. Thank you for sharing this life with me and this journey with me."
"Thank you for our family. I love you with all of my heart."
And if that wasn't cute enough, they even blew kisses to each other throughout his speech.
Near the end of the show, the lovebirds kept the PDA flowing as they embraced in a passionate kiss in the middle of the ceremony floor...
...which was followed by a warm hug and a few love taps on the butt from Adam.
The millennial in me just couldn't get enough. She was the queen of Gossip Girl, and he was the king of The O.C. The two met on the set of their film The Oranges in 2011 and began dating shortly after. Leighton and Adam wed in 2014 and share two children together.
