ABC newsreader 'breaks the Internet' after revealing his muscular physique: 'Looking good'

ABC newsreader Joe O'Brien has surprised his followers after showing off his ripped body during a trip to regional Australia. Sharing a photo to X of himself in the water in board shorts, Joe likely didn't realise that people would go nuts for the photo.

"Great to be on the road for Backroads again meeting terrific people in regional Australia," he wrote alongside the snap.

Marc Fennell commented, "💪💪💪💪💪💪 I see you."

"Joe - don’t you go breaking the internet again … 🔥," another user wrote.

"I most definitely certainly 💯 % did not zoom in," a third said, while a fourth simply wrote, "Looking good Joe."

"Joe the gym wants to know if they can use you as a fitness ambassador!" one user joked.

"My mum is gonna love this pic," another quipped.

"In your element! Don't you look happy!" one person added, while another described Joe as "an articulate man who clearly works out".

'Full of surprises'

Joe last surprised his followers in 2021 when he revealed he was a back-up dancer for Dannii Minogue at the 1999 Mardi Gras.

"OMG! ABC gonna be broadcasting Mardi Gras again. Takes me back to 1999 when I got to be a backup dancer in a Danni show 😛," he tweeted.

"OMG, JOE," one user wrote after seeing the photo of a very buff, younger Joe.
