Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins has announced her engagement to bandmate Oliver Brian, three years after her marriage to Purple Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie ended.
Emma shared a photo of herself and new fiancé Oliver, who plays the banjo with The Wiggles, along with the sweet caption: "When life gets more sparkly".
Emma confirmed her relationship with Oliver in 2019, revealing at the time she had known him for four years before they went on their first date.
“He’s very opposite to me,” she told Stellar magazine.
“He’s a very calm and thoughtful person and I’ve always been interested in his mind and his take on life, and his morals.
“He loves talking about the environment and food production. It’s not very ‘Wiggly’, but it’s been nice for me to talk about things not just concerning ourselves, but people everywhere around the world.”
Lachlan was one of the first to congratulate the pair, commenting "love you guys" along with a series of purple hearts.
Blue Wiggle Anthony also commented on the post, writing: “sensational news! congratulations!!!”
Emma and Lachlan's relationship and subsequent split made headlines August 2018, but the two have maintained they remain very close friends.
Lachlan has since welcomed twin daughters with his ballerina fiancee Dana Stephensen, who he met when she was a guest dancer for The Wiggles.
Dana was the one who popped the question to Lachy in April 2020, with fans pointing out the interesting detail that the day would have been Lachlan and Emma’s fourth wedding anniversary.
“I find it a bit strange she asked him on the date that was his wedding anniversary,” one person wrote online.
Lachlan and Emma tied the knot on the 9th of April 2016 after meeting in 2013, while she was auditioning for children’s show Dorothy the Dinosaur.
Emma told Stellar magazine that she predicted her ex and Dana would be the perfect match.
"Dana and Lachy have a similar energy, and I said to a friend that they would be perfect together," she said.
"But she was in a relationship, so I didn't say anything to him."
