Why Rebel Wilson's celebrity friends didn't attend her wedding

Rebel Wilson tied the knot with Romana Agruma in Italy over the weekend with "about 60" guests, including friends and family. But some of her close celebrity friends were noticeably absent, including her Pitch Perfect co-stars and her Aussie pal Hugh Sheridan, who introduced the pair.

Taking to Instagram, Rebel shared a photo from the wedding, with the two brides wearing matching Pronovias dresses. She wrote, "Married 💍 Sardinia 28.9.24."

Rebel and Ramona had initially planned to get married in 2025, but brought the ceremony forward to this year.

"Rebel doesn’t want to wait any longer, she is happy to marry this month because she is very much in love with Ramona and wants to be wed," a source told the Daily Mail.

Rebel's mum, Sue, and her siblings Anarchy, Liberty, and Ryot are understood to have attended the wedding, making the trip from Australia.

Interestingly, Rebel's Pitch Perfect co-stars, who she is very close with, didn't attend the wedding.

According to Us Weekly, they "couldn't make it because it was organised last minute".

A source added of the couple, however, "They had an amazing time and are very happy."

Hugh Sheridan not invited to Rebel Wilson's wedding

It comes after Hugh confirmed he wasn't invited to the wedding, despite introducing them to each other in 2021.

During an appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, he said, "No, I wasn't even told about [the wedding]. I've actually messaged them [but didn't hear back]."

"I did introduce her to Ramona and all that sort of thing. I just want her to have good people around," he added. "I do worry about (Rebel) though because I went to court for her here and we were really great mates.

"And I worry because I feel like back in the day, I was probably one of the only people that would be there for her and now with the silence and stuff, I just want to make sure she's all right."

Rebel and Ramona got engaged in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle at Disneyland, the Aussie star wrote, "We said YES! 💗💗 Thank you @tiffanyandco for the stunning ring 💍 and to Bob Iger and the incredible team at Disneyland @disneyweddings for pulling off this magical surprise."
