Watch Ariana Grande Sing Hilarious Lyrics About Being Short: '10 of Me Stacked Up Equals One of Shaq'
"And yes, my name is Grande, it’s ironic that I’m small / People will ask me, 'Where is your mom?' while walking through the mall," Grande sang
One thing Ariana Grande doesn't come up short on? Her singing talents.
During a Wednesday, Feb. 5 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Oscar-nominated actress sang an original for the audience — but with a small twist.
"Your test tonight, should you choose to accept it, is to sing a song you've never the lyrics or heard any of the music before," Jimmy Kimmel said. "It's time to wing it and sing it!"
Joined by a pianist in angel wings, Grande, 31, sang lyrics she had never seen from queue cards held by Kimmel, 57.
"I am a strong successful woman who always stands up tall," Grande sang before she became audibly shocked by the where the song is heading, "even though I am in fact, so very very small."
Grande, who is 5'1", belted lyrics about being a "human baby carrot" and a "lady Pikachu." She then laughed through the line, "10 of me stacked up equals one of Shaq." [Shaquille O'Neal is 7'1].
The Victorious alum sang about not being able to reach buttons in an elevator, an Oompa Loompa, fitting in a hamster wheel and using a sock as a bed.
"And yes, my name is Grande, it’s ironic that I’m small / People will ask me, 'Where is your mom?' while walking through the mall," she added, looking for her mother in the audience.
"But I don’t let it bother me, you’ll never see me frown / ‘Cause I’m defying gravity, and you can’t pull me down," she continued, referring to the power song from Wicked.
