‘S.W.A.T’ Production Suspended Amid Hughes Fire
A week after production on Los Angeles-based scripted series resumed after a shutdown related to the Palisades and Eaton fires, one of the impacted series, CBS’ S.W.A.T., has put filming on pause again Wednesday, this time due to the Hughes fire.
The Hughes wildfire, which broke out around 10:30 AM Wednesday near Castaic Lake, is close to Santa Clarita where S.W.A.T., the police action series starring Shemar Moore, films. By 5 PM, the fire had burned 9,400 acres, prompting the evacuation of 31,000 people and the shutdown of a stretch of the 5 freeway for several hours.
