Who Is Tyra Banks' Boyfriend? All About Businessman Louis Bélanger-Martin

Tyra Banks and Louis Bélanger-Martin have been in a relationship for over five years.

Though it’s unknown how the pair met, Banks and Bélanger-Martin have been dating since at least 2019. The pair prefer to keep their relationship private but have been spotted in public together on several occasions, including at the TIME 100 Gala in 2022.

In May 2024, Banks revealed to PEOPLE that she had been living and working with Bélanger-Martin in Australia. The businessman currently holds a high-level position at Banks’ ice cream company, SMiZE Cream.

During another interview with PEOPLE in September 2023, Banks opened up about how Bélanger-Martin tried to throw her a 50th birthday party.

"My man, he wanted to throw this huge 50 year old birthday for me and I kind of found out about it," she said. "I let him know, I have no desire to do that. I just want to go to Disneyland with the family."

He’s a businessman

Bélanger-Martin received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Quebec and a law certificate from the University of Montreal, per his LinkedIn. He’s held high-level positions at various companies, including vice chairman of the board at Global Eagle Entertainment, CEO of Advanced Inflight Alliance and CEO of DTI Software. In 1996, Bélanger-Martin also co-founded Groupe W Inc., a private investment firm.

They’ve been linked since 2019

Banks and Bélanger-Martin have been linked since October 2019 when they were spotted having dinner at hot-spot restaurant Hutong twice in one week, per Page Six. The model had been photographed with the businessman in Los Angeles two months before this outing, but Bélanger-Martin was identified as a “mystery man” at the time.

He works for Banks' ice cream company

The couple work together at the model’s ice cream company, SMiZE Cream, which she launched in 2021. According to his LinkedIn, Bélanger-Martin has been the chief financial officer of the brand since July 2020.

He is very supportive of Banks

Though Banks has yet to refer to Bélanger-Martin by name in an interview, she has been open about his support for her. During an interview on Today in October 2024, the model revealed that her boyfriend helps her deal with feeling insecure as a business owner.

“That’s where my stuff happens — of self-doubt, am I good enough, am I just a model?” she said. “My man is amazing at helping me through those moments.”

After making her return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show that same month, Banks shared on The Drew Barrymore Show that she confided in Bélanger-Martin about her return to the runway.

“I was talking to my man about it — he’s backstage somewhere — I was saying, ‘I was walking, and normally I would walk for myself ... but when I was walking on that Victoria’s Secret runway this time, I felt like everybody was inside of me,” she said. "50-year-old women, insecure women — I just felt like there was more … I was stomping because I felt like I was a vessel more so than it's just all about me. It was different."

He and Banks are both parents

Banks is a mother to one son, York Banks Asla, whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend Erik Asla. Bélanger-Martin also has a son with his ex-wife Valérie Martin Scraire.

In November 2019, a spokesperson for Banks told Page Six that Bélanger-Martin and Scraire “have an amicable relationship and [are] harmoniously co-parenting their child.”

They sparked engagement rumors in 2020, but Banks shut them down

Banks and Bélanger-Martin sparked engagement rumors in August 2020 when she was spotted wearing a ring on her left hand, per photos obtained by the Daily Mail. However, during an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show the following month, the model clarified that the ring was not a diamond.

“They’re talking about the ring. I don’t even have it on right now,” she said of the crab-shaped bauble. “It’s a crab, it’s an opal ... It is not a crab-opal engagement ring. It is just a ring!”

They are a private couple

Banks and Bélanger-Martin mainly keep their relationship out of the spotlight. Though the model doesn’t post her boyfriend on social media, the pair have attended a few events together.

In 2022, the couple were photographed together at the TIME 100 Gala and the Marc Cain fashion show during Berlin Fashion Week. Banks and Bélanger-Martin were also spotted walking hand in hand during a visit to Paris in January 2023.
