Trisha Yearwood Wishes Husband Garth Brooks Happy 63rd Birthday amid Ongoing Sexual Assault Lawsuit
Yearwood and Brooks met in 1987 and share three daughters
Trisha Yearwood is celebrating her husband's birthday.
On Friday, Feb. 7, the "She's in Love with the Boy" singer posted a close-up picture of her and Garth Brooks on Instagram to commemorate his 63rd birthday. "For my forever duet partner…Happy Birthday, Honey. xo," Yearwood, 60, wrote.
The couple met in 1987 and got married in 2005. They share three daughters.
Yearwood's birthday tribute comes as Brooks faces a lawsuit from his former makeup artist who claims that Brooks raped and sexually assaulted her. The makeup artist, who filed in October 2024 as Jane Roe, allegedly began working for Brooks in 2017 and claims she had worked for Yearwood since 1999.
She claims that the inappropriate behavior involving the country singer started in 2019, which included Brooks allegedly exposing himself, sending sexually explicit text messages and changing clothing in front of her.
Brooks has denied the claims made against him, alleging extortion from the accuser.
"For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars," Brooks said in a statement to PEOPLE. "It has been like having a loaded gun waved in my face."

“Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money. In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of—ugly acts no human should ever do to another," the statement continued.
"We filed suit against this person nearly a month ago to speak out against extortion and defamation of character. We filed it anonymously for the sake of families on both sides."
“I want to play music tonight," Brooks concluded. "I want to continue our good deeds going forward. It breaks my heart these wonderful things are in question now. I trust the system, I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be."
Most recently, Yearwood and Brooks performed together at Jimmy Carter's funeral in January, singing "Imagine" by John Lennon at the end of the service.
The couple, who are longtime friends of the Carters, previously performed at Rosalynn Carter's funeral in 2023.
