Yahoo Lifestyle I Tried the Brand New Wendy's Krabby Patty Kollab Meal and It's the Stuff of Childhood Dreams
Growing up watching SpongeBob SquarePants, I spent countless hours imagining what it would be like to finally try a Krabby Patty. As a kid, the iconic burger from Bikini Bottom's famed Krusty Krab restaurant seemed like the ultimate dream meal. And honestly, I understood why Plankton was always after the Krabby Patty formula because even though it was a cartoon, the burger just looked so dang good.
While I never thought I'd get to know what SpongeBob's version of a Krabby Patty tastes like, thanks to Wendy's and Paramount, that childhood fantasy is finally coming to life—and I couldn’t be more excited.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants, the fast-food and film giants have joined forces to give us the aptly named Krabby Patty Kollab. Available nationwide beginning October 8 (aka TODAY!), I knew I had to try this limited-time meal. An opportunity to taste the Krabby Patty sauce that sends all of Bikini Bottom into a frenzy? Yes, please! So, I grabbed up me money, headed to my nearest Wendy's and put my order up! Here's what I thought.

What is the Wendy's Krabby Patty Kollab Meal?
This limited-edition burger features a quarter-pound Wendy’s burger, two slices of melted American cheese, all the classic toppings—lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions—and a top-secret Krabby Patty sauce that brings it all together. In addition to the sandwich, fries and a Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty—a Vanilla Frosty with a swirl of pineapple-mango syrup—are included.

What I Thought About the Wendy's Krabby Patty Kollab Meal
Wendy’s has always held a special place in my heart. Back in the day, trips to Wendy’s with my grandparents were a rare treat. During my era, Wendy’s wasn’t just any fast-food joint—it felt like a luxury burger spot. The quality and freshness stood out, and it was always a thrill to unwrap one of those perfectly made burgers. Now, with the Krabby Patty Kollab, Wendy’s is bringing that magic back, with a twist of nostalgia for SpongeBob fans like me.
Once I bit into the sandwich, it was just like tasting a piece of my childhood! Now, I know you're probably thinking that this was just any old burger from Wendy's, but the special sauce really made this burger, well, special. The sauce had a spicy finish that paired perfectly with the seasoning from the burger. It really reminded me of the old Wendy's with the yellow fry boxes and soda cups (IYKYK).

I was also a fan of the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty. The pineapple-mango syrup adds just enough razzle dazzle and pairs perfectly with the vanilla flavor of the Frosty. The syrup wasn't too overpowering and the Frosty was the perfect pairing for the Krabby Patty.
For those of us who grew up with SpongeBob, or anyone who just loves a great burger, this collaboration is a dream come true. And while it may not be true for everyone, Wendy’s has always been more than just a fast-food stop to me—it’s where memories are made.
