After a caller asked the two brothers about the idea of a fall wedding interfering with football season, Travis, 35, seemed to think that the sticky situation could be avoided altogether by simply not having a fall wedding.
“I actually don't know people who've gotten married in the fall," Travis explained during the Jan. 8 podcast episode, "because all the weddings I've been to and all my friends always do it in the summer."
“You gotta be willing to find a weekend where the team isn't playing anybody good maybe," he added.
Travis, who has been dating Swift, 35, since the summer of 2023, continued, "Also, if you really do have a problem with that, maybe it's in her best interest to not have it in the fall so that she knows you're invested in the anniversary every time it comes around. I think you guys should duke that out."
But Jason, 37, wasn't on the same page as his younger brother. He told the caller, "Brother, I'm gonna tell you right now. Do the fall and the wedding and avoid this frivolous fight that means absolutely f—king nothing."
"You can watch the football game another [time], like, record it and watch it again. Like, I don't know what you want me to say. There's certain things that are more important than football, and if the wedding isn't more important than football, we got some bigger issues here," Jason, who married wife Kylie Kelce in April 2018, further pressed.
But despite his brother's argument, Travis was still opposed to the idea, chiming in to say, "Don't make my friends have to not go. Everybody's got season tickets. Alright? Don't make my friends have to choose whether or not they have to sell their tickets that week."
Travis and the rest of his friends in the NFL, to be fair, are also likely to have more conflicts with a fall wedding, not just to watch football, but to actually play on the field.
So if and when Travis marries the "Karma" singer, fans can apparently expect the nuptials to take place in the winter, spring or summer.
