Tracy Spiridakos Announces Devastating Family Loss: 'We Are Gutted'

Chicago P.D. alum Tracy Spiridakos is mourning the death of her "best friend."

On Monday, the actress shared a series of pictures—including a few selfies and snaps featuring her former co-star, Jesse Lee Soffer—with her beloved pup, Nala, after the dog died last week.

"Last week we had to say goodbye to our beloved Nala," Spiridakos began in the tear-jerking caption of her Jan. 20 Instagram upload. "We are gutted."

"I can’t even begin to tell you how special she was," the 36-year-old actress continued, "She has been my companion for over 12 years, my best friend and the highlight of every day I was fortunate enough to spend with her."

"There will never be another Nala," she concluded, "I will forever be grateful to have been loved by her. ❤️."

Condolences immediately poured in as fans and fellow Hollywood stars tried to console the heartbroken actress, including Chicago Fire actor Randy Flagler who left a red heart emoji.

Station 19's Jaina Ortiz wrote, "Awww puppy Nala 🥺🥹🕊️ sweet girl you are so missed 🙏🏼."

"Going to hug you in person soon. 🥺❤️💔," added former Chicago P.D. co-star Marina Squerciati.

"Sending you love Tracy. She will never ever leave your side ❤️," shared You star Carmela Zumbado.

"Awww Tracy. Sending you my prayers and love," gushed General Hospital alum Annie Ilonzeh. "It’s the worst pain. I hope you’re doing ok and that you know you were the best mom to beautiful Nala.🙏🏽🫶🏽."
