The Morning Show's Kylie Gillies in tears over emotional surprise

Kylie was in complete shock following the on-air announcement.

The Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies was in tears on Thursday morning when she was given an emotional surprise live on-air.

Kylie and her co-host Larry Emdur were interviewing The Australian Women's Weekly’s Editor-in-Chief Nicole Byers about the publication’s 90th birthday edition when it was announced that Kylie and her sons Archie and Gus will feature in the magazine.

Kylie was clearly shocked by the announcement, letting out a small squeal and covering her mouth with her hand as photos of herself and her sons appeared on the screen.

“It’s such a beautiful shoot, we absolutely loved working with you,” Nicole continued.

“I didn’t know it was in this!” Kylie exclaimed. “We shot this just before Gus went to Europe.

“How did you keep that a surprise from me?”

Nicole then thanked Kylie for being “such a supporter of the magazine” over the years before showing photos from a previous shoot she did with her family over a decade ago.

“That was, I think I was doing Dancing With The Stars the first time, so 2009,” Kylie said. “Look at that! Oh, that’s so beautiful, thank you so much.”

Kylie later took to social media to celebrate the release, commenting on The Morning Show’s video: “What a wonderful surprise this was.

“Huge love to my @morningshowon7 family for keeping this a secret. I was told the magazine was ‘holding’ the article for a while. And enormous thanks to @womensweeklymag for capturing my boys as they prepare to fly.”
