The Block's Eliza and Liberty spill on potential return to the show

EXCLUSIVE: The season 19 stars also reveal how they plan on spending their prize money.

The Block fan favourites Eliza and Liberty Paschke have revealed whether they would ever return to the reality show after competing on last year’s season.

Despite having no previous renovation experience, the sisters finished in second place and walked away from the auction with an eye-watering profit of $1.05 million.

While the upcoming twentieth season of The Block is rumoured to be a Fans V Favourite format - with 2023 winners Steph and Gian Ottavio tipped to return “in a different capacity than last year” - Eliza and Liberty tell Yahoo Lifestyle that they haven’t been asked to compete.

“We sure as s**t haven’t got a call yet,” Eliza says with a laugh.

“So many people are like, ‘If you got asked to do Phillip Island, would you do it?’, and that’s something we would truly have to think about,” Liberty adds. “It was hard enough doing it in Bayside Melbourne, but doing it on Phillip Island would be so hard.”

The sisters, who recently launched their new podcast Try Before You Die, assert they would “be there in a heartbeat” if they were contacted to make a guest appearance for a challenge next season.

“We had the best experience and some of the crew have become our best friends, so if we got to go back and experience that again, yeah,” Liberty says.

“If it was just a visit, yeah,” Eliza agrees. “The two and a half hours back and forth [from Phillip Island to Melbourne’s CBD], I just think it would be too much for us. You’d be so grateful to be asked back, but we haven’t.”

Meanwhile, their co-stars Kyle and Leslie Cottone previously told Yahoo Lifestyle that "there would be no hesitation" if they were asked to return to the show as contestants.

How Eliza and Liberty plan on spending their prize money

It’s been almost four months since their journey on The Block came to an end, however, Eliza and Liberty admit their success is yet to sink in.

“We just count ourselves so incredibly lucky because we just never thought we'd be in this position,” Liberty shares.

“The experience was so hard but we look back like wow,” Eliza remarks. “We came away with lifelong friends, money, and it got us out of our comfort zones which was the main thing. It literally changed our lives in that respect and gave us future prospects.”

They add that they have “no idea” how they’re going to spend their money, although they do have plans to enjoy some time away with their co-stars later this year.

“We’re going to Europe in July with Steph and Gian, we’re treating ourselves to that. But then we’re obviously going to try and be smart with it and maybe invest - well I am anyway,” Liberty says.

“Speak for yourself, I want to buy handbags and fly business class,” Eliza jokes. “We get the money in instalments and we haven't actually got any money, so we don’t have a choice but to sit on it.”
