The Block viewers divided after Scott Cam's 'cruel' remark leaves star in tears
The Block's host Scott Cam has been slammed online for the comment.
The Block viewers were left shocked after host Scott Cam made a 'cruel' comment on Tuesday night's episode to Courtney after her husband Grant decided not to attend the challenge as they wouldn't be able to finish their house otherwise. Scott was left annoyed that Grant, whose nickname is Grumpy on the show, refused to attend, and decided to up the ante, adding in a $20,000 painting into the prize in addition to the $5,000 cash.

As Scott adds in the painting, just to spite Grant, he tells Courtney, "You've got not chance, because you're on your own." The other teams clearly feel bad that Courtney is getting singled out. And given emotions are always running high on this show, it comes as no surprise that she ends up in tears.
After running out of the room, she is consoled by Mimi and Kylie and she tells the girls, "I'm just tired, I'm f***ing tired."
Thankfully, Scotty does come and apologise to her, saying, "I went a bit hard on you didn't I? I'm sorry."
"It's OK, I wasn't crying at you," Courtney responded. "I'm just emotional and tired."
"I feel a bit sad about me saying you had no chance," the host added. "I was just cranky because Grumpy didn't turn up to my challenge."
"We should play a prank on him later," Courtney said, to which Scotty ominously responded, "No, no, no, he's going to live to regret this."
Fans slam Scott's 'very cruel' comment
Fans were quick to slam Scott's comment, with one Facebook user writing, "Very cruel comment Scotty. Not needed. I don't often disagree with you but do this time."
"He shouldn't have said anything to her... she showed up!" another said.
"Scotty has become nasty and judgemental," a third said. "Likes to stir the pot these days."
Not everyone agreed, however, with one user writing, "Ummm Grant is cheating! No one else gets to stay back and keep working! That is an advantage."
"100 per cent cheating," another said. "Unfair."

"It's been on for 20 seasons FFS? They don't get to pick and choose to do challenges?" a third said. "These contestants are so precious and arrogant at the same time."
Others were just glad that Scott apologised, with one user writing, "He was upset. But realised it wasn't her fault."
Some thought that someone behind the scenes made him apologise, with one user writing, "She wasn't at fault. Very mean, but the [producer] made him apologise obviously. His nerves are frayed too by the drama probably."
