The Block’s Rachel and Ryan are currently on holiday with their young children, and the reality stars are the first to admit that not everything has gone to plan. In a candid Instagram story on Friday, the mum-of-three shared her parenting “disaster” during their trip to the Whitsundays.

With a sweet snap of herself, daughter Everleigh and son Tommy, she confessed that there was a brutal reality behind the “beautiful” holiday snap.

“First day of holidays, it all looks so beautiful,” she began, before telling fans that travelling to the tropical location was a “disaster”.

“Kids up since 5 am and by 3 pm they had all lost it. We tried to do dinner at 5:30 pm, Tommy smashed his plate of spaghetti on the floor, Mila melted down and screamed at the whole restaurant,” she wrote.

The entire family were in bed by 7:30 pm and the reality TV star declared that they ‘wouldn’t be broken’ by such a terrible first day.

The mum then shared a video of herself out and about on the second day of their getaway, using the excuse to “get coffees” for her family as a “mum hack” to steal some moments to herself.

“If you saw my previous story you know yesterday was a s**t day, but that’s okay, that’s what travelling with kids is like, right? First day’s just ride it off, because you know everyone’s going to melt down,” she told fans.

“Shout out to the Qantas stewardess who brought me a cheeky little bottle of champagne, like a couple minutes within being on the flight, because it was just madness. It is what it is.”

She then showed fans how gorgeous the Hamilton Island resort is, saying it’s a fantastic place to “reset”.
