The Block stars Ronnie and Georgia’s subtle dig at cheaters Tanya and Vito
After a whirlwind season of The Block, viewers were shocked to see Mitch and Mark crowned this year’s winners during Sunday night’s emotional finale while fan favourites Ronnie and Georgia came in last place.
The married couple ended up with the lowest profit of the season at $296,000, despite winning the most room reveals and having the highest points on the Super Power Leader Board.
The show’s final episode also saw the end of this year's infamous cheating scandal, with Luke and Josh revealing that the leaked snap of the original production schedule was taken by Tanya when the teams were filming the promos for the show.
Josh said that the production office was in the same building as the bathrooms and he saw the schedule on the wall when he went to use the toilet.
He went on to say that Tanya, who had adamantly denied throughout the season that she took the picture, asked him to be ‘on guard’ while she photographed the schedule.

Tanya finally admitted that she took the photo when the Blockheads reunited after filming for the auctions, saying that she wished she knew Luke and Josh were going to come clean so she could’ve confessed earlier.
“What I want to say is that obviously I take full responsibility for this situation and I'm sorry, I'm truly sorry,” she told the producers.
Shortly after the finale aired, Ronnie and Georgia took to Instagram to reflect on their reality TV journey and took a parting shot at the cheating contestants.
“Our Block journey might not have ended the way we planned but it’s still such a fabulous financial outcome for our family,” they wrote.
"We hold our heads high knowing we left nothing in the tank, did the best we could whilst playing an honest and fair game. Being on the smallest parcel of land and positioned on a corner were factors out of our control.”
Several fans took to the comments to praise the pair and said that they should be proud of their hard work despite the disappointing result.
“You guys were the best to watch and played and worked with integrity. You’re winners in life!” one follower wrote.
“You have integrity and honesty and that’s important,” another added, while a third shared, “Money can’t buy dignity!”
“Don’t ever change, you may not have won but you were fair and honest,” someone else commented.
The Block’s finale comes shortly after it was announced that Ronnie Caceres will be joining the cast of Celebrity Apprentice next year.
The reality TV star will be facing Lord Sugar in the boardroom alongside MAFS bride Beck Zemek, actress Jodi Gordon, singer Samantha Jade, comedian Jean Kittson, RHOM’s Gamble Breaux, TV host Darren McMullen, NRL legend Benji Marshall, Olympic gold medalist Bronte Campbell, Australian Ninja Warrior semi-finalist Eloni Vunakece, actor Vince Colosimo, social media superstar Carla from Bankstown, international supermodel Jarrod Scott, motivational speaker Turia Pitt and radio duo Will and Woody.
