The Block: Andy Lee ‘set to snap up one of the houses' as auction day nears

EXCLUSIVE: Aussie star Andy Lee is said to be eyeing up one of the houses on The Block.

Just days after it was reported that Aussie stars Hamish and Andy have been left “disgusted” about the drama unfolding on The Block this year, a source reports Andy Lee was spotted at the Open for Inspections over the weekend.

An insider told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia that Andy ‘looked happy to be there and was actively checking out’ his former employee Eliza Pacshke and her sister Liberty’s house.

“The reserve prices are currently being discussed and it wouldn't be unreasonable for Andy to snap up one of the houses on the street. Wouldn't that be a positive and fun way to tie up the season,” our insider said.

The Open for Inspections was in full swing when Andy reportedly turned up mid-afternoon, ‘wearing a baseball cap and trying not to take away from the girls' moment’.

"He seemed quite surprised at how well the girls had gone and was incredibly supportive.,” the insider said.

Hamish and Andy 'disgusted' by The Block drama

Andy’s appearance comes after an insider told Yahoo Lifestyle that contestant Eliza Paschke, who has worked as an assistant for the radio duo over the past 10 years, was overheard at an industry event last week saying that Hamish and Andy are “concerned the show has lost its way” as “they don't condone bullying or promoting bad behaviour”.

“Hamish and Andy were happy to give their blessing to see Eliza take part in The Block, but they made it pretty clear they would not get involved with the show or the show's storylines,” the source claims.

“Yet it would seem they feel enough is enough, with Eliza telling the cast and crew that their famous friends have stepped in. Their claim is that Hamish and Andy have switched off the show and have made complaints to senior executives.”

Although they have never made any complaints before, the pair are apparently “stepping in to protect their former employee”.
