The Block's Leah reveals she's 'embarrassed and disappointed' as on-air feud continues
Leah and Ash have spoken out about their behaviour on this year's tumultuous season of The Block.
They’ve been one of the most controversial couples on The Block from the very beginning and now Leah and Ash have spoken out about their behaviour on the Channel 9 show. In a video for 9Entertainment, Leah from House 2 revealed: “There are moments that I’m definitely not proud of.”
“I think I was just in a whirlwind at the beginning, trying to find my feet in here and like my emotions spiraling out of control.”
She went on to say that she’s 'a little embarrassed or disappointed' in herself that she was so 'naïve' and said having been a mum since she was just 21 ‘it was hard’ to be taken away from their reality back home.
While knowing it sounded like a ‘cliche’, Ash said the couple were ‘in a different headspace’ while filming the show, due to the exhaustion and physical strain of the competition.
He said they have ‘a pretty big conscious and pretty solid morals’ and that ‘didn’t really align with what was happening’.

It seems the couple haven’t patched things up with House 3’s Kristy and Brett either, as Leah claimed near the end of the video that they’re ‘just not her people and that’s fine’.
The real reason Leah and Ash cut ties with Kristy and Brett
It comes after they opened up to Woman’s Day about what things are like between the couples now that filming has wrapped.
"We are non-existent to them now," Leah told the publication.
"It was almost a one-sided friendship. It's constantly been me trying to say, 'Hey, I just want you guys to say sorry to the others'."
Ash revealed that he and Leah did a bit of self-reflecting on the show and realised they weren't coming off how they wanted to appear to their kids.
"A big thing for me was that our boy watches this show, and I didn't want him to see me on there setting a bad example," Ash said.
"At the end of the day, we called it out and it's fractured things. We never wanted them to be like that... their attitude is like, 'We don't even need this, let's just go home,' and we were getting categorised in that."
Last week, in an interview with news.com.au, Leah said the ramifications of the conversation between the couples are still being felt today.
“This affected the rest of my experience on The Block. Some serious, deep issues went on. At the moment, most of the cast are trying to stay very positive and professional,” Leah said.
When asked by the publication if she and Ash were ‘realigning’ themselves with Kristy and Brett post-show, Leah said: “There is absolutely no realigning (with Kristy and Brett). It’s not fair that that rumour sparked up when no one has the facts”.
