Bachelorette Brooke Blurton smitten by ‘Persian Prince’ in latest teaser

Channel Ten has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, officially introducing us to one of this year’s contestants.

Darvid, who explains that his name is of Persian origin, is shown driving a lawnmower to the red carpet to meet Bachelorette Brooke Blurton.

“That’s one way to rock up!” she giggles, clearly shocked at his unexpected arrival.

The handsome bearded contestant is wearing a shimmering black and gold detailed suit jacket with a black bow tie.

Speaking to the cameras after he went into the mansion, Brooke opens up about her first impression of the man she calls her “Persian Prince”.

“First of all, Darvid is handsome, who I did not expect to just rock up on a lawnmower,” she remarks.

Fans are then shown glimpses of what to expect between the pair this season, including a shot of Brooke holding an Aladdin style lamp as well as a steamy kiss on the couch during a cocktail party.

“The connection with Darvid is really strong already,” she says to producers. “It’s a really nice feeling.”

The video goes on to feature a female contestant, who has been identified as Jamie-Lee Dayz from the Honey Badger’s season of The Bachelor in 2018, sharing her thoughts about Darvid.

“Everyone’s threatened by him, everyone’s jealous of him,” she admits. “It’s the Darvid show.”

A number of fans have taken to the comments on social media to share their thoughts on the new cast member, with many saying that they “can’t wait” to see Brooke’s love story play out on-screen.

“That guy’s hotter than a hair straightener,” one person joked, followed by another fan who wrote, “Omg I’m so excited”.

Season seven of The Bachelorette is set to ‘smash boundaries’, with Brooke simultaneously becoming the franchise’s first Indigenous and bisexual star.

Both male and female contestants will compete on the show for the very first time, with a previous trailer seemingly confirming speculation that there will be multiple romances this year.

“I knew coming into this experience that there might be a possibility that guys and girls would have an attraction to one another,” Brooke admitted in the last teaser.
