The Bachelor’s Laura Byrne calls out her awkward parking mistake

She’s built a successful career as co-host of the Life Uncut podcast and creative director of jewellery brand ToniMay, but even Laura Byrne admits, she's not quite as talented when it comes to driving.

The former Bachelor star took to Instagram on Monday to share a photo of her car on a Sydney street and called herself out for her parking skills.

Laura explained that she had attended a lunch and didn’t notice that she had parked almost a metre away from the kerb.

“When you walk back to the car after a three-hour lunch and realise you parked in the middle of the road,” she captioned the snap.

While the photo shows that nearby vehicles are much closer to the pavement, the mother-of-two’s black BMW SUV is awkwardly sticking out.

Laura’s post comes shortly after it was reported that she and her fiancé Matty J have purchased a $1.87 million home in Bangalow.

The small NSW town has a population of just over 2000 people and is located in the hinterland of Byron Shire to the west of Byron Bay.

According to The Sunday Telegraph, the reality TV couple purchased the three-bedroom, two-bathroom property in late September.

The publication also claims that the pair, who currently live in Sydney with their two daughters, Marlie, 2, and Lola, nine months, won’t be moving into the new house immediately.

Laura’s emotional post

Following Laura’s social media post about her parking skills, the 35-year-old shared a video on her Instagram story in tears after misplacing her engagement ring.

“So I’ve just spent the last two hours bawling my eyes out because I thought I'd lost my engagement ring,” she began.

“Well I did, I lost it for two hours. This is the face of someone who’s found their engagement ring. Actually, I didn’t find it. The babysitter found it.”

She continued: “But if you've lost your engagement ring, I feel for you. It’s not a good feeling.”

Laura and Matty J became engaged in 2019 in Fiji after meeting on The Bachelor in 2017.
