How Taylor Swift's 'Silly' Grammys Moment Made Cynthia Erivo Feel 'Really Comfortable'
Cynthia Erivo is spilling the tea on her recent encounter with Taylor Swift.
After she and the "Anti-Hero" songstress were spotted sitting next to each other during Trevor Noah's opening monologue at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 2, the Wicked star dished some of the details from the "silly" interaction.
"I was a little late to get to my seat, and Taylor waved me over, so I obliged and sat with Taylor," Erivo, 38, told Access Hollywood while walking the red carpet at the Critics Choice Awards on Friday, Feb. 7.
Sharing more about the encounter, Erivo said, "She was being silly, I was being silly, and we were having a really good time and it was awesome."
Noting that she had only met Swift, 35, once before, Erivo said it felt like she had interacted with the singer many times.
"It felt really lovely. Really comfortable, really sweet. She's lovely," the Harriet alum continued, noting that Swift mentioned during the interaction that she had seen Wicked.
"She’d seen Wicked, and she was so lovely, so sweet," Erivo added, calling the whole experience "really cool."
Erivo and Swift went viral during the award show presentation last week, after the "Karma" songstress could be seen trying to replicate the iconic "holding space" finger hold that Erivo and her Wicked co-star Ariana Grande famously made popular during their press tour for the musical movie.
