‘The Substance’ Stars Demi Moore And Margaret Qualley Fight Over Presenting The Golden Globe For Best Male Actor In A TV Series
Even outside of the film, they are one.
The Substance stars Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley resumed their roles in the body horror film and got into a small “tiff” over whose week it was to be out in the world.

“Margaret, what are you doing here?” Moore asked her co-presenter, who plays a twisted younger version of Moore’s character in the movie. “It’s my week.”
“It’s the Golden Globes, so…” Qualley, whose alterego Sue gets birthed out of Moore’s character Elizabeth Sparkle’s spine after she makes a deal with a shady pharmaceutical company, quipped back. “I was nominated.”
“Yeah, but so am I,” Moore replied after reminding Qualley that they need to “respect the balance.”

She later reneged and said “We are one. Shall we do this together?”
“What’s the worst that could happen?” Qualley joked in response, to which Moore raised her eyebrows.
The two then went on to present Best Male Actor in a drama TV Series to Hiroyuki Sanada for his work in Shōgun, the second season of which will start production this year.
Moore later won the Golden Globe for Female Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for her role in The Substance, and she reflected on how she was meant to make the film in her speech. She won over Cynthia Erivo, who was nominated for Wicked, Mikey Madison nominated for Anora, Karla Sofía Gascón for Emilia Pérez, Zendaya for Challengers and Amy Adams for Nightbitch.
