The 2025 Golden Globes took place on Sunday night, marking the return of our favorite time of year: Awards Season.
Amid all the chaos of the night, here are 13 moments from the esteemed award show that you might have missed.
1. Sofía Vergara jokingly heckled Jodie Foster.
After losing the Best Female Actor in a Limited Series Golden Globe to Jodie, Sofía — who was nominated for her role in Griselda — playfully yelled at the True Detective: Night Country star. “No, no!” she shouted as Jodie’s name was announced. Jodie replied on stage, “I know, I know,” while Sofía — who has never won a Golden Globe — yelled, “Give me one!”
(This was Jodie’s fourth win.)
2. There was a whole lot of PDA from Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet.
Enough said, really.
3. Kylie couldn't help but laugh while Timothée was being roasted by host Nikki Glaser.
Nikki came for almost everyone during her Golden Globes hosting debut, and as she poked fun at the “gorgeous eyelashes” on Timothée’s “upper lip,” Kylie could be seen laughing along with the A Complete Unknown star.
4. Selena Gomez was filmed reacting to Benny Blanco being roasted.
On the subject of celebrities reacting to their partner getting roasted by Nikki, Selena looked pretty awkward when her fiancé, Benny, was teased. Nikki quipped, “A double nominee tonight for Emilia Pérez and Only Murders, and she's here with her new fiancé, Benny Blanco. And Benny Blanco is here because of the genie who granted him that wish.” Ouch!
5. Selena also had a super sweet reaction to Zoe Saldaña’s win.
When Selena lost out on the Best Supporting Female Actor Golden Globe to her Emilia Pérez costar Zoe Saldaña, her reaction couldn’t have been more gracious. Not only did the actor seemingly mouth Zoe’s name repeatedly before she was announced as the winner, but she was also filmed immediately jumping out of her seat and celebrating Zoe’s win as if it were her own.
6. Kieran Culkin gave his ex-girlfriend Emma Stone a sweet shoutout.
Kieran shouted Emma out as he accepted the Best Supporting Actor Award for his performance in A Real Pain, which Emma’s company Fruit Tree helped produce.
7. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo "held space."
Wicked stars Ariana and Cynthia recreated their viral “holding space” moment, with Ari grabbing on to Cynthia’s finger as Nikki made a hilarious dig at the entire thing.
8. Ariana was literally asked if her grandmother is “alive.”
Yes, you read that right. During a red carpet interview, a reporter suddenly cut Ariana off mid-sentence to ask her, “Your grandmother still alive?” Ari casually replied, “Yes, my Nonna, she’s 99.”
9. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody had an adorable moment on the red carpet.
Leighton was filmed standing to one side while her husband, Adam Brody, posed before cameras on the red carpet. Fans speculated that she was trying to let him “have his moment,” as she only joined when Adam gestured for her to come and stand by him.
10. Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley made iconic references to The Substance.
Demi and Margaret had the opportunity to do the funniest thing, and they did. While introducing the nominees for Best Television Male Actor in a Drama Series, the pair jokingly butted heads as they channelled their Substance characters. “You have to respect the balance, remember?”
11. Andrew Garfield wore sexy glasses.
The internet is pretty obsessed, to say the least.
12. Vin Diesel shouted out Dwayne Johnson after their yearslong feud.

13. The Lookalikes showed up and out!
And finally, the winners of Glen Powell and Timothée Chalamet’s memorable lookalike competitions over the summer were invited to this year’s Golden Globes. In fact, Glen was filmed meeting his lookalike out on the red carpet. Iconic!
