The three-hour special, which will air on NBC and Peacock at 8 p.m. ET, will also feature special guests who have previously graced the “SNL” stage, but not as cast members. Those previously announced celebrities include Adam Driver, Ayo Edebiri, Bad Bunny, Dave Chappelle, John Mulaney, Kim Kardashian, Martin Short, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Pedro Pascal, Peyton Manning, Quinta Brunson, Robert De Niro, Sabrina Carpenter, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks and Woody Harrelson.
Two nights before the anniversary special, Peacock will livestream “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert,” an event at Radio City Music Hall hosted by Fallon that will showcase performances from Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Bad Bunny, Post Malone and more music stars.
These are just the latest in a string of “SNL50” celebrations. NBC put out a four-part docuseries from Morgan Neville titled “SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night,” which preceded a documentary special from Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and Oz Rodriguez called “Ladies & Gentlemen … 50 Years of SNL Music.” And earlier this month, fans flocked to Rockefeller Center to enjoy “Live From New York: The SNL50 Experience,” an immersive event that lets fans feel like they are hosting the show.
From creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels, “Saturday Night Live” is produced in association with Broadway Video.
