Shopper savages Kmart over embarrassing mistake: 'Shonky'
A shopper has opened a popular Kmart craft item to find a glaring mistake made by the retail store.
The Kmart fan shared her confusing dilemma in a popular Facebook group.
“Kmart, what is going on here?” she wrote alongside a photo of the contents of her paint by numbers kit.
Her paint pots are clearly numbered from 1 to 21, but the 13 to 17 paint pot row is missing. Instead, she has two sets of 7 to 12 paint pot rows.
While many group members pointed out that sometimes doubles of paint pots are needed for coverage, the author said this wasn’t the case.
“There’s a whole row missing,” she added to her caption. “Yes, we need the numbers that we are missing. No, we don’t appear to need extra of the colours that there are extras of.”

Kmart’s home brand Anko makes a range of paint by numbers craft kits at the standard price of $9, but you can snag a bargain when they’re reduced to clear for just $3.
Their kits range from European scenes in Paris and Venice, to animals such as owls and parrots, plus beautiful floral scenes and more.
Some fans couldn’t believe how irritating Kmart’s mistake was.
“Seriously!! Anko is becoming shonky in a lot of ways I believe…” a group member wrote.
“Yep, you’re definitely missing a row. I do a lot of Kmart paint by numbers and if there’s ‘double ups’ of colours then the corresponding number is duplicated next to it, not forming a whole row plus deleting the subsequent row,” an experienced user explained. “Return it for a new one otherwise you will forever be disappointed you started something you couldn’t finish (speaking from experience).”
“Story of my life, I don’t ever want to buy my kid those craft kits because I win the lottery of double up [or] missing bits to complete the kit every single time,” another added sadly.
“Well someone can’t count??? Maybe they need to go back to school,” a fourth quipped.
“It actually doesn’t make sense to me either lol, doing my head in actually,” another remarked.
Luckily for the shopper, another Kmart fan came to the rescue. After confirming that they were both working on the same painting of a yoga girl, the kindhearted group member offered to post her leftover paint.
“You are definitely missing numbers 13 to 17! I haven’t started that one yet, but I can do those colours on it over the next few days and then post them to you,” she suggested.
