Yahoo Lifestyle Sarah Michelle Gellar Literally Walked Away From A Reporter After Being Asked If Jennifer Love Hewitt Will Be In The “I Know What You Did Last Summer” Remake

And this is Jennifer Love Hewitt.
The pair famously starred in the 1997 thriller I Know What You Did Last Summer, along with Ryan Phillippe and Sarah’s now-husband, Freddie Prinze Jr.
Last month, Sarah confirmed that filming had begun for the long-awaited IKWYDLS remake after she posted a picture of a director's chair on set.
Sarah later revealed that she “got in a bit of trouble” for sharing the photo before anyone had announced that filming had started.
“You would think that being in my position, I know what rules are on sets when they say closed sets, you know,” she said earlier this week. “So my husband’s starring in the movie, and it was Thanksgiving, so I took our kids to Australia to go out there and visit him. And I was sitting on set, and I was like, ‘Oh, what a great picture,’ and then I posted it.”
“Then I found out that they hadn’t posted any pictures from the set yet — hadn’t announced they started filming,” she added. “Yeah … that was an ‘Oops! My bad!'”
Well, on Wednesday night, Sarah was asked about the upcoming remake during an appearance on the red carpet of her new show, Dexter: Original Sin.
Excitedly, Sarah began by gushing about the project and praising the director, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. “It’s so good. Again, there’s so many great stories, and the way to honor them is to just extend that universe. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson has put together an incredible cast, and the script is so much fun,” she said.
However, Sarah’s energy swiftly changed when she was asked about her ex-costar Jennifer Love Hewitt possibly returning.
Sarah appeared annoyed and remained silent before following up with, “I have nothing to do with that.” She then started to walk away from the reporter before awkwardly pausing when another question was asked.
Sarah’s awkward response to the question about Jennifer has since caused quite the stir online, with several people speculating that there’s drama between the pair.
“You can tell the way Sarah reacted about Jennifer that something happened there,” someone speculated on YouTube. “I often wonder what happened between SMG and JLH. It's clear they had a falling out. SMG is almost disgusted at her mention here,” wrote another user.
“the way the energy changed so fast after her name was mentioned,” someone wrote in response to a viral post about Sarah’s reaction.
“Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love-Hewitt having beef was not on my bingo card for the year,” one more tweet read.
At the same time, other internet users suggested that Sarah’s “coy” response was perhaps simply down to the fact that she recently got in trouble for sharing information about the IKWYDLS remake.
“she said she got in trouble for posting the picture of them filming the movie so she’s probably being coy and not sharing or doesn’t know,” one Reddit user guessed.
For what it’s worth, Jennifer recently hinted that she’s possibly returning to the remake.
When asked about reprising her role as Julie James, Jennifer told The Hollywood Reporter, “I am possibly preparing for that. I am so close to being able to say something that’s exciting.”
“It has only been scheduling and me trying to make sure that if I go back to the franchise, I just don’t want to be the ghost of ’90s past,” she added. “I really want to do something, and I want to be there for Julie James fans. … I just want it to feel like, you know, if she comes back, then it means something.”
Now, it’s important to note that there’s no actual evidence of any feud between Jennifer and Sarah. However, fans have long speculated that there’s been a little discord between the pair.
Way back in 1999, for example, fans suggested that Jennifer looked “salty” when she lost the TV Actress award to Sarah at the Teen Choice Awards.
Over a decade later, Sarah shared that she and Jennifer hadn’t seen each other “in a long time.”
“LA is so segregated that unless you sort of live in the same area and your kids are sort of in the same. You don't run into people in the same way,” she said during a 2014 appearance on The Morning Show in Australia.
In the same interview, Sarah was asked to share whatever popped into her mind when pictures of each of her ex-costars were shown. When Jennifer appeared on screen, Sarah said, “I know what your boobs did last summer — 'cause whenever you see that movie, it's just a lot of cleavage.”
