“RuPaul's Drag Race” season 17 queens elect cast superlatives, from 'wretched' villain to 'hot' trade: 'I am the man'
The new class of queens exclusively tells EW who among them is Mother and who most needs the Mistress Isabelle Brooks Drag Delusion Vaccine.
There's a new class of queens in the RuPaul's Drag Race Werk Room, and the ladies of season 17 have already signed their sisterhood yearbooks with a kiss — and some shade, naturally.
In Entertainment Weekly's exclusive video interview with the new cast, the 14 contenders for the crown elect superlatives of the season, from the most villainous personality to which contestant flexed major muscle as the trade of the season.
"I'd say there's a lot of wannabe villains," Tennessee's Hormona Lisa jokes, while New Jersey's self-described Ken-Barbie hybrid quips about the similarity of her name to a past Drag Race star when she asks, "Scarlet Envy? Crystal Envy? Am I the drama?"
In the end, the queens unanimously name Seattle's elven deity Arrietty — niece of season 14 finalist Bosco and daughter of season 15 queen Irene Dubois — as the most mischievous villain this year: "The villain of the season is definitely Arrietty," says Cleveland-based star Onya Nurve, without hesitation. "Villains are sometimes very gorgeous, and so is Arrietty."
"She's nasty, disgusting, absolutely wretched, darling. And I love it!" says Miami entertainer Lucky Starzzz, while Boston's Kori King — drag sister to season 16's official villain, Plane Jane — exclaims that Arrietty is "evil" and has "horns."

Next, in another unanimous vote, Kori is named the trade of the season by her sisters. In short, it's "because she's hot," says Pittsburgh's horror queen, Lydia B Kollins.
"King suits him right," says Los Angeles performer Joella, while Kori excitedly exclaims, "It's me. I am the man this season. I think Crystal is a close second."
In another universal agreement for the cast, Arrietty is also named the runway queen of the season because, as Sam Star summarizes, "Arrietty is so sickening" — a sentiment Suzie Toot dials up by claiming that the fashionable queen is "sickening as f---."
Unfortunately for Suzie (and contrary to her joke in our one-on-one interviews that she was the most fashionable diva on the Main Stage), "The worst runways are obviously Suzie Toot's," says Kentucky's Lexi Love.
"I think everyone's runways were really good except for Suzie," Kori adds. Jewels Sparkles shares the thought: "Everyone had amazing runways except Suzie," she says with a laugh. "Clock that, Suzie!"
RuPaul's Drag Race season 17 premieres tonight at 8 p.m. on MTV. Watch the queens name more superlatives of the season — including who was the most intimidating, who's the Mother Sapphira Cristál of the season, and who most needs the Mistress Isabelle Brooks Drag Delusion Vaccine — in EW's video above.
