Rachel Sennott & Bowen Yang To Announce Oscar Nominations

After a delay due to the Los Angeles wildfires, the Oscar nominations are now set to go Thursday with Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang tapped to announce the nominees.

The Oscar nominations ceremony was previously rescheduled from January 17 to January 19 due to the fires. It was moved a second time to January 23. The voting period for nominations was also extended to January 17, and the Oscars nominees luncheon, previously scheduled for February 10, was canceled.

Bottoms actor Sennott and Wicked‘s Yang will announce all 23 Academy Award categories live from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater on Thursday via global live stream on Oscar.com, Oscars.org and the Academy’s digital platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook), ABC’s Good Morning America and streaming on ABC News Live, Disney+ and Hulu.

Final voting will be held February 11-18. Conan O’Brien hosts the awards ceremony on March 2. Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan are producing.

Sennott is known for her roles in the films Saturday Night, Shiva Baby, Bodies Bodies Bodies. In addition to starring in Bottoms, she also executive produced and co-wrote.

Saturday Night Live regular Yang most recently starred in Wicked alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, as well as Fire Island and Dicks: The Musical. The Emmy-nominated Yang next be seen in a starring role in a remake of the 1993 comedy The Wedding Banquet.
