Prince William's surprising move that left Princess Charlotte in 'floods of tears'
Prince William has revealed the moment he left his daughter Princess Charlotte in 'floods of tears'
Royal fans may have been delighted to see Prince William experimenting with a new style after the Prince of Wales grew a beard this year, but Princess Charlotte was less than impressed. William has revealed that his new look actually left his only daughter in 'floods of tears', she was so upset.
During a four-day visit to South Africa, William shared that he shaved his beard after seeing Charlotte's reaction. He said, "Well, Charlotte didn't like it the first time. I got floods of tears, so I had to shave it off. And then it grew back. I convinced her it was going to be OK!"

William's beard made its debut in August when he and his wife, Kate Middleton, congratulated Team GB for their efforts in the Paris Olympics.
Royal fans loved the new look, with one user writing, "Pardon me ladies.. I need to cool down. Prince William looks so handsome with a bit of facial stubble."
"Prince William with some scruff, wow," another said.
"William rocks the stubble," a third added, while a fourth said, "Oohhhh Prince William looking good."
However, he shaved it off just days later, with one fan joking, "I'm officially entering a period of mourning for William's beard. I only saw it once, but I'll always remember it."
In September, William had grown his beard back again, with stylist Martine Alexander telling Mail Online, "This positive response has given William the confidence to be more contemporary with his style. It seems that he's adopting an age-appropriate look and it's great to see."
The positive support seems to have also influenced William's style choices, with the Prince wearing more laid-back outfits, mirroring Kate's modern style that she adopts when out on more relaxed royal outings.
Body language expert Judi James suggests Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis may have played a role in his change in style.
"William has three children that are getting to the age where they will often make comments or jokes about any out-of-date dad clothing and start to quietly revolutionise his look, especially as he seems to have been spending more time with them recently," she suggested.

William is believed to be working with stylist Natasha Archer, who is responsible for some of Kate's iconic looks.
At the recent Centrepoint Awards, William wore a much more modern look than what he would usually go for, wearing a navy velvet tuxedo jacket with black satin lapels. He chose a classic bow tie, white shirt and slim-leg trousers.
