Zoe Saldaña Appears to Bare it All in Trippy New Magazine Photos That Fans Are Calling 'Remarkable'

Whether she's on the red carpet or in the pages of a magazine, Zoe Saldaña is known for being able to pull off just about any high-fashion look—but some fans had mixed feelings about her recent—and very revealing—cover shoot for Harper's Bazaar.

In the photo, the 46-year-old Emilia Pérez star stood with her back against a wall with her left arm raised and her right knee bent. Her dark hair was slicked back in a bun, and she wore a sheer Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello lace dress with dramatic red ruffles around the neckline and cuffs.

On Instagram, commenters weren't sure what they were looking at.

"This is pretty remarkable. It’s like she’s shedding skin," wrote one user.

"LOVE Zoe....but what is up with the over air brushing of the shirt?" another person wanted to know. "Its neck is visible but its bottom bleeds/meshes into her skin???"

"Looks like her head was edited and placed on the body 😂 This is no bueno. Could have been better for sure!" somebody else chimed in, with another fan asking, "Child what am I looking at😮."

Saldaña modeled a number of similarly sheer fashions for the same Harper's Bazaar shoot, including a lace LaQuan Smith gown and a lace Gucci midi dress. In the corresponding article, she opened up about the "restlessness" she felt as a kid.

“I was always off,” Saldaña said. “When you have a child that has ADHD and is dyslexic and has a lot of energy and doesn’t sit still and is unable to listen, you think that it’s on purpose. I just remember asking myself, ‘Why don’t I fit in? Why do I do this?’ It would make me really sad, and it would make me feel really isolated.”

“I learned in a very innocent, unconscious way when I was very young that I need to live in art, because I find peace,” the Golden Globe winner added. “I can rest when I’m creating.”
