Prince Harry ready to 'step in and help' royal family after Kate's cancer diagnosis
Harry is reportedly 'devastated' following the news both his sister-in-law and father are battling cancer.
A "devastated" Prince Harry is reportedly ready to "step in and help" the royal family amid the news his sister-in-law Kate Middleton is battling cancer, along with his father King Charles.
The Princess of Wales, 42, shocked royal fans on Friday when she shared the news that she has been diagnosed with cancer following her "major abdominal surgery" in January. She revealed that while they believed the issue was non-cancerous, tests "found cancer had been present".
It comes after Charles was similarly diagnosed during his January hospital visit for an enlarged prostate, with Buckingham Palace confirming last month that treatment wasn't related to the cancer.
The Palace has remained tightlipped on what type of cancers Kate and Charles are battling.
The 'perfect opportunity' to mend relationships
A Buckingham Palace aide has now revealed Harry reportedly sees this as the "perfect opportunity" for him to mend his broken relationship with his family after stepping down as a senior member of the royal family in 2020 with his wife Meghan Markle.

"Harry has told the King he will step in and help, if he wants him to, but there is no way after everything that has happened between them that his majesty can allow him back in," they told The Herald Sun.
The aide claims there is "too much water under the bridge" and for Harry to come back it "would just make things worse".
Just last week the Palace quietly removed Harry and Meghan's personal bios from the royal family's official website. Instead, they have now been merged to have a joint bio that states that the pair are no longer working royals.
Their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's bios were also deleted altogether.
'Cannot be trusted'
The Mirror claims Harry first told Charles that he would return to help the family when the King was diagnosed with cancer. However, Prince William shot this down, saying there was "no chance" of it happening.
"Harry is ready and willing to help and genuinely believes it would work well for both parties. In his view, it wouldn’t be dissimilar from what was proposed back in 2020, with a hybrid model of working," an insider said. "With the King’s illness there is perhaps more of a reason for those options to be considered."
However, William is reportedly not interested in even speaking to his brother, with a source claiming he told friends that Harry and Meghan "cannot be trusted".
