Almost every celebrity has been caught out adding a sprinkle of Photoshop magic to their social media snaps at one point or another.
What is more unusual, however, is a celebrity simply adding in a whole clothing item in the hopes no one will notice, which is precisely what happened to one Blake Lively on Instagram today in a move that left onlookers simply confused.
The parents of two both individually took to the social media app to share a snap of Blake and Canadian-born husband Ryan dropping off their votes - the first time her husband had cast his ballot as a US citizen.
“It was Ryan’s first time,” she hilariously captured the snap of the pair outside the station. “He was understandably scared. It all happened so fast. Like, REALLY fast. He wept. I pretended to weep. Then he called all his friend.”
Shoe Photoshop fail leaves fans in stitches
It was not the hilarious caption however, but the actress’s footwear that caught fans’ attention.
In her post, Blake was sporting what at first glance seemed to be a pair of black heels.
In Ryan’s post, the Gossip Girl star was shoeless and teetering on her tippy toes.
Needless to say, fans were quick to put two and two together.
“It’s the drawn on heels for me,” one fan wrote.
It didn’t lose the popular celeb any love however, many fans finding the misstep adorable.
“Look at her feet she's drawn on the heels,” another pointed out. “Lmaooo I love Blake so much.”
It seems the star had taken it upon herself to draw some Instagram-appropriate footwear on, something her husband had not taken the time to do.
In classic fashion the duo met the mishap with a healthy dose of humour, sharing close-ups and alternative shoe options to their Instagram stories.
Blake jokingly took the opportunity to have a stab at a position with Louboutin, advertising herself as a ‘barefoot iPhone doodler with vast experience’ and an ‘impressive resume’.
Eventually, Blake also commented directly on the Photoshop fail, with a very sweet message to her fans.
“Can you tell I was so happy to get outta a onesie and vote,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “Sure it was an absentee drop off ballot with a mask covering my look. But dammit I exercised my right to vote. And to not wear shoes that ruined my outfit.”
