Duchess Sophie Looked Lovely in a Powder-Blue Ensemble at the King’s Garden Party
King Charles III hosted the annual Sovereign’s Garden Party this afternoon at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland. The event was part of the monarch’s trip to Scotland for Holyrood Week.
For the grand occasion, Charles—who is undergoing outpatient treatment for a form of cancer—arrived with wife Queen Camilla. The king looked elegant in a black tuxedo jacket worn over a gray vest and tucked white collared shirt, and paired with gray pinstripe trousers and a black top hat. He added some color with a silver and light blue patterned tie, which matched his wife’s dress. Camilla wore a bright sky-blue coatdress with a matching sun hat embellished with a large rosette on one side. She added some off-white leather gloves and a diamond brooch.
The king and queen consort were joined at the fete by Charles’s brother Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. Sophie looked immaculate in a powder-blue collared dress and a wide white sun hat adorned with a lacy net and featherlike pieces. Always abiding by royal tradition, Sophie added some glamour to her look with a pair of white pearl cluster earrings and finished her ensemble with beige pumps.
We have yet to see photos of Charles’s other two siblings: Prince Andrew and Princess Anne. (The Princess Royal is still recovering from a concussion, however.)
Neither Prince William or Princess Catherine made appearances either, likely because the Princess of Wales continues lying low as she undergoes preventative chemotherapy for her own cancer.
