MasterChef Australia star unrecognisable in throwback snap
The talented cook showed off a totally different vibe in a pic from 2019.
Fan favourite Nat Thaipun has officially earned her spot in the finale week of MasterChef Australia, after wowing the judges with her roast bone marrow and winning immunity from Sunday's elimination. The barista from Melbourne has consistently impressed with her skill and creativity, with many viewers predicting she will take out the grand prize.
Following her immunity-winning dish, the aspiring chef was flooded with praise as her fans raved about how brilliantly she had done. "Nat is definitely a shining star 🌟 in the making 👏🙌😍," one person raved.

Her victory came in an emotional episode as the contestants had to cook something inspired by an important person in their lives. Nat cooked in honour of her mother who she called the "strongest and most resilient person" she knows.

Speaking of their relationship, Nat revealed that they "used to be so distant" but had been talking so much more since she had been in the competition.
"I've never seen her so proud of me," Nat told the judges who were struggling to hold back tears. "Like she's never really said that before, she's never been able to verbalise that but she has been now."
"And this moment is one of the reasons I have watched Masterchef since season 1," one fan wrote on Instagram. "It is far more than just a cooking show. 🙏🙏."

While Nat is now well-known for her stunning tattoos and '"lucky" hair ribbons, a photo on her Instagram from 2019 shows a different side to the talented cook.
The photo shows Nat with long pink hair, wearing a jumper in the same hue and holding a coffee.

Nat tipped to win MasterChef
With her undeniable talent, Nat has been a firm favourite to take home the MasterChef crown from the first episode when her kangaroo larb sent the judges into a frenzy.
