Jennifer Lopez's Tiny, Ab-Baring Crop Top Featured a Hilarious Reference to Herself

She's her favorite reference, baby.

Jennifer Lopez is proof that personal style doesn't always mean being dressed to the nines—the casual looks are just as important, and can often be some of the most interesting opportunities for a wardrobe.

The pop star stepped out in NYC in the tiniest white crop top that exposed her entire midriff, with it seemingly doubling as her own merch. The shirt read "JLO BE MY MAMA" in all capital letters across the chest, with the top stopping just below her bust. For added coziness, Lopez threw on a soft and fuzzy pink cardigan.

To complete the look, the 54-year-old also wore a trend approved by Gen Z: low rise baggy denim in a distressed, faded blue shade. She wore comfy white sneakers and accessorized with black shades, and a tiny wicker bag.

Lopez's solo outing in NYC comes amid her relationship troubles with Ben Affleck. She recently spent solo time Italy, with sources telling Entertainment Tonight that the time away was good for her. (She later reunited with him in Los Angeles, despite a Page Six source explaining that their marriage has been “over for months.”)

“Jen loves vacationing in Europe during the summer," the insider said. "It’s been nice for her to experience a change of pace and have some breathing room. She has been having a blast with her friends. They love to go to fun dinners, have late nights, lay out in the sun, get dressed up, dance, and shop.”

"That's never really been Ben’s scene, even when him and Jen weren't having any issues," they added. "Jen isn't letting the fact that Ben's not there bring her down."
