“I Will Take Action”: Scott Disick Revealed His Honest Conversations With 15-Year-Old Mason About The Dangers Of “Hereditary” Alcohol Struggles

If you’ve been a fan of the Kardashians since the very beginning, you’ll know that the highs and lows of Scott Disick’s adult life have always been a central theme on the family’s show.

From his relationship troubles with Kourtney Kardashian and the death of his parents to his struggles with alcohol and drugs, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians camera crews were often on hand to document the fallout in Scott’s personal life.

But it definitely wasn’t all bad. The show also captured plenty of the family’s happiest moments, including the births and upbringings of Scott and Kourtney’s three children — Mason, 15, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10.

And so, now that the Kardashian and Jenner grandkids are getting older, Scott has opened up about his children watching KUWTK and tackling difficult conversations about his past.

Appearing on the first-ever episode of Khloé Kardashian’s new podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, Scott said he thinks it’s “cute” that Mason, Penelope, and Reign will have so much footage of their family’s life to look back on, but also confessed he’ll find it uncomfortable for them to see the more difficult times he’s navigated on camera.

Khloé — who said she’d be “mortified” for her kids, True, 6, and Tatum, 2, to see KUWTK — highlighted that Scott has changed a lot since the show began in 2007 and referenced some of his most controversial moments caught on camera, saying: “The version you are right now and the version you were then, sticking hundred dollar bills down waiters’ throats and yelling at people.”

In response, Scott winced at the idea of his children seeing that side of him — but emphasized that it’s not a topic of discussion he’s scared to broach, particularly with his oldest son, Mason.

Now that Mason is approaching the latter part of his teens, Scott and Khloé acknowledged that it’s “inevitable” he’ll eventually start “experimenting” with alcohol, meaning his dad is fully prepared to have open conversations about the potential risks that can come with it.

“The truth is I do explain to Mason how drinking affected me and how badly it put me in certain places,” Scott said as Khloé commended him for his honesty. “And he knows that. And he, for a while, thought I was going to treat him differently because of that.”

In spite of all this, Scott clarified that he still “would not love” for his kids to watch how poorly he behaved during some of the earlier seasons of KUWTK. However, Khloé suggested that seeing the “outlandishness” of Scott’s past actions might even deter Mason from drinking altogether.

I love Scott’s honesty, but I seriously can’t believe Mason is already 15?! You can find the full episode of Khloé in Wonder Land here.
