Osher Gunsberg has been quietly rebranding himself following the shock axing of The Bachelor and The Masked Singer which he famously hosted.

After losing both of his biggest shows in the blink of an eye, Yahoo Lifestyle understands the star’s agent has been touting him for bookings as a keynote speaker at events across Australia, focusing on “positive conversations around mental health and climate action”.

According to the guide for Australian Conference Speaker fees, the 50-year-old can earn between $7,000 and $15,000 per booking.

An industry source says: “Speaking events can make good money and away from that, Osher is taking on more niche media work focussing on things he’s passionate about. Everyone knows they have a shelf life when it comes to primetime shows and Osher had a great run, [but] he’s now looking at producing projects too where he doesn’t necessarily have to be in front of the camera anymore.”

Last month, the star hosted an investigative documentary on how science is being used to treat chronic illnesses for SBS titled Osher Günsberg: A World of Pain.

In a recent episode of his podcast Better Than Yesterday, Osher touched on his rebrand, saying: “There’s this super sure thing that everyone knows you for and in my case - it is a subset of my skillset, that I thoroughly enjoy and I’m good at, but it’s not the totality of who I am and what I’m about.

"And now that’s gone, trying to explore different parts of my skillset… and I’ve been through a rebrand before, I’m just trying to remind people that I do other stuff.”
