New Meghan Markle claim in Prince Harry and William's feud: 'Bully'
Prince Harry and Prince William's feud began well before we thought it did.
Prince Harry and Prince William are believed to have been estranged for longer than has commonly been assumed, according to royal author Robert Lacey. William and Harry have been understood to have been on rocky ground since the beginning of 2020 when the younger brother stood down as a senior member of the royal family with his wife Meghan Markle.

However, Lacey claims the brothers' relationship has actually been fractured since 2018, not long after Harry and Meghan were married. The couple appeared to be united with William and his wife Kate Middleton, with the couples attending events such as Wimbledon together and being branded the "Fab Four".
"Meghan portrayed herself as the victim, but she was the bully," courtiers told Lacey in his book Band of Brothers. "People felt run over by her."

The bullying allegations came to light in March 2021, with two members of staff claiming to have been bullied by the Duchess of Sussex.
The author claims that the brothers were "no longer on speaking terms" when Meghan and Harry left for Australia on their royal tour in October 2018.
"William was made aware of claims that Meghan had 'bullied' palace members of staff and, after an unsuccessful phone call to discuss matters with his brother, decided to 'throw Harry out'," Lacey writes.
Harry was the first to point out his and William's differences during a 2019 ITV documentary about the Sussexes' trip to Africa.
"Part of this role and part of this job, and this family, being under the pressure that it's under, inevitably, you know, stuff happens," he said.
"But look, we're brothers, we'll always be brothers. And we're certainly on different paths at the moment, but I'll always be there for him, as I know he'll always be there for me."
Prince Harry reveals details of relationship with Prince William in Spare
Harry released his bombshell memoir Spare last year, spilling the details of his relationship with William as children into adulthood.
One of the most shocking stories Harry shared was of a physical fight between the brothers, after William called Meghan "difficult," "rude" and "abrasive", which Harry described as him "parrot[ing] the press narrative" about Meghan.
Harry wrote that William "grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor", with the altercation leaving the younger royal with an injury on his back.

"It all happened so fast. So very fast," Harry said. "He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."
While William told Harry not to tell Meghan about the incident, he did call his therapist. However, Meghan later noticed the "scrapes and bruises" on his back.
When he told her about what happened, Harry says that Meghan "wasn't that surprised, and wasn't all that angry. She was terribly sad."
