A Netflix fan has sparked a huge discussion on Facebook after questioning which TV shows people loved at the beginning but eventually went downhill. Taking to a Facebook group, the user asked fellow Netflix users to share "a TV show that was excellent at first but became unwatchable for you later on."

Many users shared their thoughts with these shows coming in as the most popular choices, though not all of them are on Netflix Australia:

  1. The Walking Dead (BINGE)

  2. Suits (Netflix)

  3. Riverdale (Netflix)

  4. Lost (Disney+)

  5. The Blacklist (Netflix)

  6. Peaky Blinders (Netflix)

  7. Stranger Things (Netflix)

  8. Orange is the New Black (Netflix)

  9. Dexter (Prime Video and Paramount+)

  10. This Is Us (Disney+ and Prime Video)

  11. Game of Thrones (BINGE)

  12. Grey's Anatomy (Disney+)

  13. How To Get Away With Murder (Netflix)

  14. Virgin River (Netflix)

  15. American Horror Story (BINGE and Disney+)

"Definitely The Walking Dead 💀 l had such love for almost an obsession then it just got so repetitive… have to move find a nice safe place gets settled get found off they go again … and don’t get me started with the walking up railway lines 🥱," one user wrote of the zombie drama which went for a huge 11 seasons.

"The last 76543 seasons of The Walking Dead the ones before that were pretty good," another quipped, while a third said, "Sadly the last season of The Walking Dead."

"All of the ones that take almost two years to release new seasons," someone else said, not willing to give away names but perhaps hinting at Bridgerton, which won't have another season for two years, or Stranger Things.

Speaking of Stranger Things, one user added, "Stranger Things, I loved it and then the last season was so boring I stopped watching it after that dumb mall break in scene."

"Game of Thrones once they out paced the books. The story started to fall apart," another said.

"The last season wasted everything. I could have written it better myself," another agreed.

"Grey’s [Anatomy]. That show needs to end," one person said of the 20-season show, with another calling it "the most dragged out show ever".

"Riverdale, the storyline took multiple directions which made it far-fetched," someone said of the famously odd show based on Archie Comics.

"Almost everything. Different day, same drama. Two seasons is enough for any show," one user said, summing up the argument.

One user must have been joking when they said Schitt's Creek (surely, right?!), with many replying that this was not the case for them.

"Strongly disagree with this one," one Schitt's Creek fan responded. "I, like many people I’ve talked with about this show feel the EXACT OPPOSITE. Season 1 was not great. In fact, I’m not alone when I say it took a few tries to get into past those first episodes. The show found its way during Season 2 and only got better and better right to the end."
