My Kitchen Rules' Simone reveals huge news after making it to the grand final

My Kitchen Rules fan favourite Simone has two reasons to celebrate this week: not only did he make it to the grand final with his best friend Viviana, but he's also going to be a dad! The Italian-born reality star announced the news at the end of Monday night's episode and spoke to TV Week, telling them: "I’m going to be a dad soon!"

It comes after many fans were left heartbroken after discovering that Simone and Viviana are not a couple when he introduced viewers to his partner, Victoria, earlier in the month.

"We're expecting a little boy," Simone shared. "I’m super-happy, but also a bit nervous, especially since we don’t have family here in Australia. It will be challenging at first, but I’m confident everything will be all right in the end."

Simone added that after moving to Australia nine years ago and recently becoming a citizen, he hopes his father will fly over to be with them, saying: "His support would mean a lot to us during this time."

Simone reveals very Italian baby name

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle, Simone shares that he and Victoria have already decided on what their child’s name will be.

“I'm sure our little Romeo - Romeo will be the name of the baby - will be fantastic,” he says, before adding with a laugh, “Manu and Colin will be the middle names! Romeo Manu Colin Prest”.

He adds that they have started taking a pregnancy course together "to get ready and understand what fatherhood is", and is feeling much better.

“This year has been a very, very crazy year, too many things are happening and it's very hard to manage them all. But with the help of Viviana, we're gonna get through it,” he remarks.

Meanwhile, Viviana reveals that she had a very strong reaction when Simone called her to share the news that he and Victoria were expecting their first child together.

“I was in my pyjamas and then he video-called me, and I started crying so badly,” she recalls. “I was shocked, I wasn't expecting it. I almost passed out in my pyjamas at home. I was like, this is insane. I’m so happy for them.

“I can’t wait to be an aunty! I’ve already bought so many bodysuits that say, ‘I don’t want to be with mum and dad, bring me to aunty’ and stuff.”

Proving how strong their friendship is, Simone said before Monday night's cook-off: "It has already been an incredible journey. Being at the semi-finals with my best friend has been the best experience of my life no matter how this goes."

After winning, Viviana added: "For Italians, family is absolutely everything. I care about Simo so much. We are like brother and sister."

Fans have taken to social media to share their excitement for Simone, with one user saying: "Did anyone watch the ending of the show? Simone said he’s going to be a dad 😮."

"He has a baby boy on the way 💙," another responded.

"Yes, it was great news and confirmed they are just friends," a third said.

Many others shared their excitement for the friends after they made the grand final, with one user writing: "These two have been outstanding since the beginning!! Not just the cooking, but their whole presence. I wish them all the best for the final."

"Best team won congratulations Simone and Viviana," another said.

"The winners will be Simone and Viviana," someone else predicted. "They should just give them the crown and stop stressing me out!"

"Yes, they've done it, I'm crying my eyes out, so happy," another added.

Simone and Viviana will compete against Caz and Fergus to win $100,000 and be crowned the winner of MKR on Tuesday night at 7:30pm.
