Ms. Rachel Is Coming to Netflix for the First Time! Everything We Know About the YouTube Star’s Streaming Debut
Dubbed this era’s Mister Rogers, Rachel Accurso started her Ms. Rachel YouTube channel in 2019
Ms. Rachel’s YouTube page is a saved bookmark for many parents and caregivers — and starting on Jan. 27, they’ll have another way to access the preschool educator’s interactive lessons for their “littles.”
Rachel Accurso's popular channel, which has nearly 13.1 million subscribers, is coming to Netflix for the first time with four episodes compiling some of her most-watched videos teaching letters, numbers, colors, shapes and more.
By offering subtitles in 33 languages (and eliminating YouTube ads), Ms. Rachel can help even more toddlers and babies reach crucial milestones through research-backed tools, something Accurso has hoped for all along.
“I set out to just try and be helpful and have fun because I love education,” Accurso, who co-created the series with her husband Aron, told PEOPLE in March 2023. “I'm so passionate about it and I do think that's contagious and that people can feel that I really care. I just want to help people. That is what nourishes my soul."
Here is everything to know about the Ms. Rachel episodes coming to Netflix and what parents can expect from the series.
Who is Ms. Rachel?
Rachel Accurso, known by her young viewers as Ms. Rachel, is a former teacher with master's degrees in early childhood development and music education. She and her husband, Aron, launched their YouTube channel in 2019 to give other parents easy access to the speech therapy tools that helped their son, who had a speech delay.
"It makes me teary thinking of the time when he couldn't communicate — you could see the frustration," the YouTuber told PEOPLE. "Watching your child struggle is the worst feeling, but when parents say our videos help with communication it's huge. Communication is a right. And it's exciting for me to take what I've learned and pass it on."
In addition to her YouTube series, Accurso partnered with SpinMaster and Melissa & Doug to create a toy line. She told Parents in August 2024 that she wanted to design “something that grows with a child” and that “inspires imagination and creativity.” The Ms. Rachel toy line includes puzzles, blocks, plushies and a rattle.
The preschool educator also released her first picture book, Ms. Rachel and the Special Surprise!: Encouraging Speech and Learning Through Play and Music, in September 2024. Like her video lessons, it also focuses on promoting language development in young children. Accurso released three more books in January 2025.
What are Ms. Rachel's Netflix episodes about?
The first batch of 30 to 60-minute episodes will include a curated compilation of Ms. Rachel’s most popular lessons.
The first episode will cover speech and toddler learning, the second will dive into nursery rhymes, the third focuses on preschool learning, including the ABCs, and the final episode is filled with fan-favorite songs.
Across all episodes, Ms. Rachel will highlight first words, learning to talk and phonics. While they will all be available in English, the episodes will also have subtitles in 33 different languages.
Are more Ms. Rachel episodes coming to Netflix?
Only four episodes will be available to stream in the first season of Ms. Rachel. However, Netflix confirmed that more episodes will be released later in 2025.
It’s unclear if future installments will feature new content or more compilations of Accurso’s already-live lessons.
