Moviegoers Can Score Free Popcorn This Weekend at AMC, Regal and More Theaters

Movie theaters are popping up with deals this weekend.

Cinemas nationwide are celebrating National Popcorn Day on Sunday, Jan. 19, with discounts and freebies.

AMC Theatres is honoring the food holiday with free unlimited refills on any size of popcorn. Marcus Theatres has free refills, too, along with free junior-sized popcorn for reward members.

Regal is giving members a free small popcorn with a movie ticket. Similarly, Showcase Cinemas has the same deal: a small popcorn for free with a ticket purchase.

Cinemark has its own version of BYOB — Bring Your Own Bucket — on Sunday. For $5, moviegoers can fill up their own container. The only limitation is that the bucket has to be 400 oz. or less.

National Popcorn Day nearly collides with another hungry holiday: National Pizza Week (from Jan. 12 to Jan. 18). Domino’s is celebrating the cheesy week with half-off pizza through Sunday, Jan. 19.

The online-only deal applies to a build-your-own pizza or a specialty pie. Customers can order the half-off pizza for delivery or carryout.

If popcorn and pizza don’t satiate your appetite, head to Wendy’s for more deals.

Now through March 2, customers can score a 2 for $7 deal on four of the chain’s beloved items: the classic or spicy chicken sandwich, Dave’s Single and crispy or spicy 10-piece chicken nuggets.

To claim the in-store and in-app offer, customers just have to check out the “Meal Deals” section of the Wendy’s app, where they’ll be given an option to select their two menu items. Or guests can activate the meal deal when ordering in person at a store.
